In 2015 he was admitted to the Sweelinck Academy, the young-talent class of the Conservatory of Amsterdam, where he studied with Lex Korff de Gidts for three years and with Ilya Grubert for one year. After four more years of studying with prof. Grubert, he graduated in December 2023 with a 10 cum laude. He is currently pursuing a bachelor's in Music Theory at the CvA.

In his free time, Menno likes to compose, to organise things, and to make overviews and analyses of various kinds. His faith in Jesus Christ is his source. This is reflected in his open-hearted, sincere, and calm demeanor, both in life and in his music.
